In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020, health and safety is more important than ever to SAF Cleaning and our customers.
We are totally committed to carrying out our business in a safe and healthy manner. We take our legal obligations and responsibilities to protect our colleagues our customers very seriously, following and implementing guidelines on cleanliness and social distancing as appropriate.

Health & Safety Policy
SAF Cleaning implements standards of health, safety and welfare which comply with the requirements set out under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, together with other relevant statutory regulations and requirements and any subsequent amendments.
We carry out risk assessments, including fire risks, to assess potential health and safety risks to anyone who may be exposed as a result of our work, ensuring we can take appropriate actions and precautions to eliminate, reduce or control any risks.
Suitable and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided, and all necessary instruction, training and supervision in its use are given.
Risk Assessments and Method Statements can be provided on request.
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Policy
We use an approved supplier who provides detailed safety data for all materials and products. Our team may use only products for which they’ve received full training so that they understand safety procedures and relevant COSHH regulations.
New or updated COSHH information is made available to colleagues. They are responsible for ensuring they are familiar with any changes and for adhering at all times to COSHH safety rules.
Colour-Coded Cleaning
We use the British Institute of Cleaning Science’s National Colour-Coded System. Equipment, materials and procedures are segregated and colour-coded to prevent cross-contamination and cross-infection.
RED: Toilets, toilet floors, urinals
- YELLOW: Washbasins, washroom surfaces and walls and clinical areas
- GREEN: Kitchens, Canteens, and Bar areas
- BLUE: General areas, offices, window sills, fixtures
